Remove Traits From Sims 4

How to Remove Traits in the Sims 4 (Cheat List) – 2023

One of the game’s features is the ability to assign traits to each Sim, which determine their personalities and behavior.

However, there may come a time when a player wants to remove an attribute from a Sim.

Personality traits can significantly impact a person’s behavior and actions.

While some traits can help define an individual’s character, others may negatively impact their personality.

This guide will show you how to effectively manage your Sims’ traits to shape their personalities and guide their actions in the game.

Customizing your Sims 4 characters is a simple process that allows players to add or delete traits as they see fit.

One way to do this is by using console commands, which we can access by pressing the keys CTRl + SHIFT + C simultaneously.

It will open a panel where players can input various trait cheats.

Players should type “testingcheats true” into the panel to enable the cheat command fully.

It will allow them to scroll through the list of cheats and find the one they want to use.

For example, if a player wants to check the mood of their Sim, they can use the cheat “sims.get_sim_id_by_name [Sim’s Name]” to see the spirit of the Sim they’re interested in.

Once we enter the cheat, it will take effect immediately. Additionally, players can use the command “trait.remove [trait name]” to remove the trait of their choice from the Sim.

It’s worth noting that using cheat codes may affect the gameplay and make the game too easy, so it’s up to the player to decide if they want to use them.

How To Remove Traits From Sims 4?

There are two main ways to remove a trait from a Sim in The Sims 4:

  1. The “Modify in CAS” option allows players to edit a Sim’s traits directly by accessing the Create-a-Sim (CAS) mode.

Players should select the Sim they want to edit to use this method and then click on the “Modify in CAS” button.

It will bring up the CAS screen, where players can select the trait they wish to remove and click on the trash can icon to delete it.

  1. Using the “Edit Sim” option: Another way to remove a trait from a Sim is to use the “Edit Sim” option.

We can find this option by clicking on the Sim in Live mode and selecting “Edit Sim” from the menu.

Once in the Edit Sim screen, players can choose the “Traits” tab and then click on the trait they wish to remove.

They can then click on the trash can icon to delete it.

We can’t remove certain traits, as they are “hidden traits” which are only for the game’s internal mechanics.
